Work From Home calls for some Home Office Decoration!

Work From Home is the new normal for professionals. The office setting was just perfect for the work - the chair, desk, lighting, your special office coffee mug, Isn’t that?

Well, they say, “Special time call for special measures!”

Our bedroom has either transformed into a home office or our study room into our office. Some of us are lucky enough to already have a home office.

Who does not want a calm, stylish, organized office - be it in your home? Wondering how to establish a home office? Let's dive into the steps of home interior decoration to recreate a room into your own office corner -

  1. You can opt for changing the wall colour that makes you feel like you are at the office. A patterned wall, a solid colour, whichever works for you - you can even include a mixture of colours to the wall as a part of the home interior decoration to-do list.

  2. Choosing the desk and chair is a must. You will be using those for more than 1/3rd of a day.
Your first priority should be - being comfortable. You do not always need an expensive chair to be comfortable. A simple decent, high-backed, ergonomic chair will work wonders for you.

Choose a work table or study table instead of simple desks. You should look for quality and the lasting period. Avoid choosing cheap quality products since they do not have a long-lasting tenure.

  1. A small lamp added to your home interior decoration never hurt anyone. You can use a focus light just for your table rather than using the regular room lighting that consumes more electricity. In a way, you can reduce energy consumption. The warm, cosy glow is aimed towards keeping stress at bay.

  1. If you already do not have a coffee mug, invest in a good one. You need to keep yourself hydrated during work hours.

  2. Home interior decoration without some greenery is never complete. Green plants have a soothing effect on us. Well, they always make the background look good and energised while you are on a meeting call with your colleagues, clients, or boss. Maintaining the green plant will provide you with a much-needed break during work or study hours.

  1. We live in a digital era, but that does not reduce the paper load on our part. We still have multiple project files or client files, study materials, etc on our table. It is really difficult to work with the pile of files on the table or desks. Get yourself a storage rack or cabinets for storage.
Storage cabinets or racks or trolleys to keep the printer that has wheels are the ultimate multi-tasking material.

  2. Quality speakers become a must to help you relax and get energized for the next session of work or study. Listening to music has proved to improve productivity. Invest in a good Bluetooth speaker to gift yourself with a good work session while you groove and work!

  3. Your wrist will complain of pain after a few months of working. The last thing in this pandemic you need is a new hand strain from working and overworking. Reduce the risk of being diagnosed with chronic pain by purchasing an ergonomic keyboard which will increase comfort, help you remain focused at work.

Other than all the above home interior decoration tips, you can choose to add anything to the decor that makes you comfortable at your home office!
